Submit your innovative idea for safe, accurate and economical inspections of above-ground storage tanks without human entry, while staying in service. Win up to 250,000 USD!

Chrysalix Venture Capital, in partnership with Petronas, Malaysia’s leading oil & gas company, has launched an incentive challenge to find a safe and economically viable solution to inspect the tank bottoms of Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs) without any interruption in service and requiring no human entry.

Sounds like a job for an autonomous robot!

The team behind the winning solution will receive up to 250,000 USD for a 6-12 month project to demonstrate a proof of concept and a viable business case. Start-up worthy solutions will have the opportunity for additional follow-on equity funding of 1 million USD + from the Chrysalix RoboValley Fund.

For more information and to sign up, please visit www.herox.com/chrysalix and look for the Tank Inspection Challenge using code chxpetronas-ast. Entries must be received by June 14th, 2019 and all submissions must be made online.

The Challenge is open exclusively to institutions in Chrysalix’s Academic Network: Carnegie Mellon, the University of Waterloo and Delft University of Technology. No specific qualifications or expertise in the field of the oil and gas sector is required.
